We are always here to support you.

We've answered our Frequently Asked Questions below, however if we've missed something please do reach out to us at team@her9.co.uk.

  • When should I start taking the supplements?

  • Ideally a varied diet combined with a healthy lifestyle would mean that our bodies got everything they need to thrive. Unfortunately our society and way of living doesn’t make that easy or at all possible for most. Therefore Her.9 is here to be taken from a woman’s first period, when trying to conceive, through pregnancy and postpartum, as well as into menopause and beyond.

You should start taking a vitamin such as Her.9 to support prenatally at least 3 months before you even think about trying for a baby to ensure you've reached optimum nutrient levels, but we know life doesn't always go exactly to plan. Now is a good time to start - There's no such thing as ‘too soon’ to be looking after YOU!

  • Are the supplements suitable for vegetarians, vegans, halal and kosher diets?

  • Yes! We wanted to create a prenatal supplement that anyone can take, no matter the circumstances. We’ve ensured all of our ingredients are 100% plant-based, without compromising on quality or potency.

  • Are the supplements suitable for diabetics?

  • Her.9 is free from both carbohydrates and sugars, and therefore should not impact your diebetic status.

  • How are your supplements produced?

  • Lonza, our manufacturing partner in Switzerland, utilises the most innovative technologies, compatibility processes and trials to ensure its supplements and products are second to none.

  • What kind of testing do you do on your vitamins?

  • Lonza’s quality management system is fully in alignment with the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), as well as European Medicines Agency (EMA), among others.

  • How should I store my supplements?

  • We recommend storing your Her.9 supplements in a cool, dry place, and out of direct sunlight.

  • Do your supplements contain the required 400ug of folic acid?

  • Yes it does. In fact, we use Quatrefolic® which is a fourth-generation Folate that has longer-lasting stability, improved bioavailability and the highest level of safety. This is important as many women’s bodies can’t activate the standard synthetic, manmade form of Folic Acid which also comes with various side effects - found in most supermarket brands!

  • What are the ingredients?

  • For ingredients, nutritional information, quantities and NRV please click here

  • What is the size of the supplement capsule?

  • The size of our vitamin capsules are double 00 which is 23.6mm

  • What is the capsule made of?

  • The capsule is made from cellulose which are plant fibers and offers a non-GMO alternative to capsule! The capsule itself is also Kosher, Vegetarian Society and Vegan certified.

  • Can my supplements be taken with prescription medicine?

  • We cant see any reason why not, but we would always recommend speaking to your doctor or pharmacist before taking any supplement alongside prescribed medication.

  • Do the supplements contain caffeine?

  • No, we wanted to create a product that gets energy from natural ingredients, like Vitamin B, which fuels the body and mind.

  • Why are Her.9 ingredients better than off-the-shelf options?

  • A lot of manufacturers use cheap, unabsorbable ingredients in minimal quantities, but at Her.9 you will find that all of our ingredients are of the highest quality, naturally derived and sustainably sourced. Every ingredient has a purpose, and is provided in quantities that have been scientifically proven to make a difference in supporting you and your baby's health. We also have strict testing in place to ensure our capsules are completely free of all allergens and contaminants.

  • What is the shelf life of the supplements?

  • Our supplements have a 2 year shelf life.

  • Are there any side effects?

  • We've not had any negative side effects reported and as all our ingredients are of the highest quality and naturally sourced, these vitamins should be what we get from our food. You’re likely to have more yellow urine - and, this is a good thing! It’s our Vitamin B2 or Riboflavin being absorbed!

If you're taking Her.9 during your pregnancy, it’s common to have a more sensitive stomach, so if you are experiencing any nausea then we recommend taking the supplement at night before bed or splitting the dose and taking one in the morning and one in the evening with food - a little tip from our experts!

If you have experienced issues in the past when taking vitamins or supplements, you should speak to your doctor before taking any other supplement. The same applies if you have an existing health condition or are on repeat medication.

  • Should my diet change while taking the supplement?

  • Keep in mind that our Complete Women’s Wellness is designed to complement a healthy diet, rather than replace it. That means it’s still vitally important to eat a well-balanced, nutrient-rich diet throughout your life. Think of your vitamin as a backup, not the other way around.

  • What time of the day should I take the supplement?

  • The capsule-in-capsule design means you can take the Her.9 supplement at any time of the day - with or without food - unlike many other supplements!
To build a habit, we recommend taking the capsules on top of a routine you already have, that way you won’t forget!

  • Can I take more than the recommended dosage?

  • We recommend taking two capsules at the same time every day, with or without food. The quantities of ingredients in the Her.9 daily capsules are expertly formulated and are based on clinical evidence shown to make a difference to you throughout every stage of life as well as that of your baby, so you won’t need more than two a day.

  • How do I take the supplement?

  • Our daily supplement can be taken at any time of day, with or without food. We recommend taking the capsules with a glass of water.

  • What happens if I miss a dose?

  • If you miss a dose, don’t worry! Just take it as soon as you realise, and then carry on with your normal daily routine. We don't recommend taking a double dose to make up for the missing supplements.

  • Why is my urine more yellow than usual?

  • Don't be alarmed! This is caused by the water-soluble vitamins and is a sign that your nutrients are being absorbed effectively! This is how you know that the Vitamin B2 known as Riboflavin is really working. There is nothing to worry about, and if you drink plenty of water the colour of your urine will decrease in saturation

  • When will I start to feel the benefits?

  • It's natural to want to see results straight away. Everybody's biochemistry is unique, so the length of time for seeing the benefits of your supplements will differ from person to person. But your menstrual health is normally impacted by what you consume three months previous. If you have any further questions our Community Care Team are more than happy to help.

  • Why are some of the vitamins a darker shade?

  • Some of the pills may look slightly darker than others, this can happen if the outer oil gets inside the inner capsule. There is no need to worry, this is totally normal and does not affect the dosage!

  • Will taking these supplements break my fast?

  • Despite fasting not being generally recommended throughout pregnancy, the Her.9 supplement will not break a fast.

  • Can I take the Her.9 supplements?

  • While our supplement is safe to take at any stage of your life, you should always check with your doctor before taking any new supplements, especially if you are on medication such as blood thinners, are abo`ut to have surgery, or have any health concerns.
